I'm glad that you understand. As for cardio - in your case you should start in a month, but remember to not rush it.

Cut those -10% of your calories consumption and then after 2 weeks another 10% and so on...

It's best to implement cardio, when you feel like you are getting hungry already and you don't want to cut calories from food anymore.

Just think of cardio as of food, that you would have to say good bye to otherwise. If you do it correctly, you should have at least a few months of progress.

How much do you plan on losing by the way?

Yeah, I know. I'm just a nice person and I know that beginnings are hard, so the least I could do is to set them on the right path.

Please, read those topics on our forum one more time because you have clearly missed some crucial information.

I hope, that you don't count those vegetables though - they are just an addition - sure eat them a lot of them, but don't count them to your overall daily calories consumption.

Also, you should count both fat and proteins as well - not only carbohydrates... Don't cut -10% from carbs alone - this is too much!

You cut -10% from your over calories intake, not from carbs. Also it is recommended to cut this -10% or less every second week, not every week.

It's definitely too much and you will pretty soon reach the moment, when you won't have any calories left to cut from.

That's when you add cardio - to replace some of the calories that you would have to cut with additional activity. It's all in our tutorials for beginners!

Just read it again, then read what I wrote and tell us what else you don't know, so we can help you.

CatLady summed it up well. It has been talked over many times. You have plenty of topics on our forum, clearly stating that any weight loss pills are not worth a penny - at least not at your level anyway.

If you somehow didn't see it, your diet is probably messed up as well.

Can you post it here? Diet is a key to weight loss - if it's not good, then you won't lose even one pound.

I agree, RDL is basically all I need for my hamstrings now as an supportive exercise with squats and deadlifts.

I like Good Morning and Single Leg SLDL as well, but just as annbee I rarely do them anymore.

Well, to be honest I have never encountered any negative comments face-to-face, but I know that people are talking about me behind my back. I hear comments like: why does she keep working out so hard? What for? She already looks really good, does she want to turn into a man? This is pretty common and I don't care about it anymore.

I have also noticed, that it's mostly women that are saying things like this. I have never heard anything negative from men either and even as I have a husband already, I care about men's opinion in this regard much more than women's. It's probably just jealousy. They want to look like you, they want men to look at their bodies at gym as well, but they can't get on your level - because they are too weak. So what's the best defensive mechanism? Talk about it in a negative way - persuade your own mind, that it's actually her doing wrong not me. There is no point in working out so hard, I'm already very feminine and attractive.

What is the point in having such a big legs and round boot? It's not feminine! They are taking steroids etc... Trust me, there is nothing wrong with what you are doing, this is just jealousy of other people. You don't see those comments coming from men, because you are not their competition - rather you are a target on which they focus their attention.

Entirely different thing with women - who are your direct competition and as they know, that they are not strong and dedicated enough to get on your level, they will try to subconsciously change your mind about getting in shape.

Don't worry about this and keep doing what you do!

Great story! I have really enjoyed reading it. Actually I love reading all of those success stories here - because what else can motivate me more than reading amazing stories about people getting closer and closer to their dream body? I also think, that it's already time for you to get on another level - you don't lack in experience, motivation or knowledge.

You should cut/bulk now and use this approach for several months. There is no better strategy to make your muscles grow

Best of luck and I hope you will achieve you dream body!

Wow, great explanation cherryjucice! Now that you have mentioned your little theory - I will admit, that it really makes sense.

Gaining weight on slow metabolism is very easy, while losing it is much, much harder, but just like you I can't understand one thing.

How did she manage to stay skinny with such slow metabolism?? The domain of skinny people is their extremely fast metabolism and unhealthy eating.

She didn't mention if she ate healthy or not, but either way there is no way that she would be skinny for her entire life under those circumstances.

Please Mayward, shed some light on this issue, because we really want to help, but we need more details.

Well, this is very interesting case. You are saying that you were skinny your entire life and that you have gained weight too fast.

Usually people who are skinny have a lot of problem with gaining weight, but losing it is relatively easy for them. While people who were overweight tend to gain weight quickly, but it's pretty hard for them to lose it. You are not fitting to either of those categories, that's why I'm surprised.

Probably you aren't endo/ectomorph - unlike most people, you are mesomorph - it means that, most likely you weren't skinny - you only imagined that you are.

For mesomorphs both gaining weight and losing is easy and hard. You don't have tendencies to being fat or skinny, but still even if you are mesomorph - why can't you lose weight now after you have gained it so fast? I don't really understand, but I would recommend to stay at your current weight for a little while - you should let your body adapt to the changes instead of rushing with new diet and new goal immediately.

Stay on the same diet and consume slightly less calories for around a month, give it some time, then try to lose weight again.

I doubt that you are really that much overweight - 10 pounds is not really much, so just keep working out, gain some muscles and try again if you decide that you really need losing those 10 pounds.

I guess neomeena said already everything there is to say. You don't reveal your 6-pack by training your ABS more and more. You reveal it by losing weight.

I will also add, that the reason why you don't feel any soreness after your hardcore ABS training is because those muscles tend to regenerate very fast.

Not any other muscles regenerate as fast as them, which is the reason why you don't feel any pain next day in opposition to other muscles.

If you did legs workout as intense as you did your abdominal muscles workout, you probably would have trouble getting out of bed the very next day.

That's why we don't put that much time in training ABS and those exercises that you find in most workouts here on our forum are more than enough.

Rest depends on your diet and how much weight you are going to lose.

Both has their uses to be honest. I personally prefer HITT and I think it wins over cardio when it goes to losing weight, but as I said it depends on a few factors here.

For example, do you imagine 20 pounds overweight woman that just started working out to do intensive HITT twice a week after workout? Because I don't.

This is where cardio comes instead of HITT. She wouldn't be able to perform correctly HITT even in 1/4, so she should rather focus on cardio after workout and proper diet.

When you are more advanced and your stamina has improved - you can try HITT during weight loss as well, but most people actually do both. I do both as well, even though I rather prefer my workout to be short, but intense I find cardio to be nice from time to time as well. For example, now I'm cycling twice a week and not only it's a pretty good cardio, it is also extremely relaxing, but it's more of an addition for me and during serious weight loss workouts I tend to focus on HITT.

Hi! Most pre-workouts are based on caffeine and truth be told I'm not sure how safe is consuming excessive amounts of caffeine during breastfeeding.

You may just try drinking coffee an hour or two before your workout. Additionally, I could recommend consuming more carbs before workout, like for example eating a big dinner that is full of carbs before workout. I'm not sure what your goals are though - if you are trying to lose or gain weight for example.

Usually women want to lose weight after pregnancy, but setting your meals in a way that you have more carbs before workout can definitely make you feel more alive during workout.

No, you didn't post any picture here and it would clarify a lot, but from what you wrote I don't think that you are fat and I doubt your belly is really that much of a problem. You just make it sound like it's a problem, because your friends are skinnier in this area. What you should do is bulk a bit, gain some weight and gain some muscle as well and after you do this - lose weight again. Repeat it until you add more muscle and your belly will look much fitter due to growth of your abdominal muscles and other muscles as well.

I've tried few different monohydrates and noticed that the brand doesn't really matter. For example, I didn't see any difference between a creatine for $10 and one for $40. As for pre-workouts - hard to say, all those that I've tried were working basically the same, the only difference was in taste - which is totally a matter of preference.

Well, I'm sorry, but they mostly don't work. Best fat burner is a good diet and plenty of workout. I've tried many different fat burners in the past as well, but apart from caffeine, that you can get from your coffee and for much cheaper, they only consist of a lot of useless substances with different, catchy names, so clueless people can spend their money on them. Just look at this logically - if fat burners really did work - obesity wouldn't exist anymore.

Of course, you can buy it and try for yourself, but they don't really help much. If you have your diet and workout on point they will help a bit, but the difference they make is definitely not worth the bucks spent on it.
