I'm glad that he has finally agreed. Don't worry, if he said that he wants to feel more masculine I really doubt, that he would give up so quickly :)

Well, I can't really relate to that as both me and my husband were working out before we even met, but I'm sure that you are not his problem in this case. He just became socially isolated due to his work at home. Every guy loves working out, staying in shape, getting their muscles to grow - it's part of their nature. They are much more concerned about their muscles and staying in shape than we are. Does he have any friends that he could start working out with? It may be the key here - when he sees his best buddy wreaking havoc at the gym, he will feel much more motivated to start working out as well. It's called rivalry. Men are in general much more concerned with this stuff - they love competing with each other and they can't stand if their best friend is doing better than him, much more than we do as well. If he has any good friend, you should ask this friend to start working out or with him.

It may be a much better strategy to motivate your husband :)

Don't worry, everyone is different - some people can go into a deep keto with no issues at all and they feel even better than before and some will be walking zombies after 3 weeks of low carb diet - you're the perfect example of this :) My guess is that you would have to stay on this diet for a bit longer - preferably 1 to 2 months, so your body adapts to new changes. For some this calibration period is much shorter and for some it takes some time, but there is no point in doing this as you have already other method figured out, which will deliver same results with less effort, right?

That's an interesting discussion. I don't consider steroids evil and just as Katyaa said, they aren't either good or bad. This is a tool that can help or not - it's up to you how you use them, although just like everyone before me said - there is no point in using them for women! I can understand men on steroids that just want to be bigger, leaner and more attractive - but for women? Unless you really want to resemble men more then there is no point in taking them, because women may get their dream body without any use of steroids in opposition to men.

Just keep working out and you will see improvement, you can make other thread with your current routine, diet and we'll help you move forward - thing is here though that for women any progress from certain point will come much slower than for men because we are not genetically made to be as strong and big as them, our muscles simply don't grow in the same way, but hey, you wouldn't want that, right?

I remember I've read your introduction post two weeks ago and even wished you luck - you were much more confident about reaching your goals back then, what happened? Just like leonaaa said you need to chill more.

There is no point in getting upset, especially as you were doing everything wrong - of course you won't get any results, but don't worry - now that you have posted your thread here and so many people here gave you great responses, you can't really fail, so heads up and start tomorrow or day after tomorrow with a fresh mind and motivated :)

Also, I agree that most people on bodybuilding forums are those that are overweight, but it's not that it's uncommon to be skinny. People that are overweight are just more willing to change themselves, because being fat is less attractive than being skinny for most people, so there is a lot of those skinny people that can't put any weight as well, but they don't feel the urge to do so as much as those that are overweight. I'm personally one of those types of women, that were never either overweight or skinny. I always had big breast, big thighs, but for example skinny arms and slim waist, so I never had any reason to start working out as I was attractive enough for most men and a lot of women were complementing my figure, but I was also very active physically, so it probably factored as well a bit. Point is, I started working out because I love it and I love improving myself in many different areas so if you want to do it in the long-term and you don't want to be average anymore, then you have to love it, embrace it and appreciate it! Don't worry about lack of efforts now, think about tomorrow and improve yourself :)

A bit of motivational speech from me as I felt in the mood. I hope it helps!

Great story! So you are just like me! I love hitting the iron hard as well hence my name :P I'm a bit stronger than you, but I have also much more experience in terms of weightlifting. Congratulations again. I must say, that you probably have pretty good genetics if you were able to achieve this kind of strength in such a short time. Maybe you would be interested in some competitions in weightlifting? I took part in some of them and to be honest competition among women is pretty low, so you may have a chance of placing well on scoreboard and I'm sure you would have great time! Send me a private message if you would be interested.
