I have a problem. More than a few occasions my hubby has told me to check on my weight claiming I am too fat.

Honestly, I have gained a lot of weight lately and every time he sends our younger daughter to tell me to put on leggings.

Although he is correct, what worries me is that, I have secretly tried some meals to help me reduce my weight but, it is not working.

I look guilty whenever my husband looks at me in the house or even in a crowd it is because I am fat. But again, I am afraid of losing him because we got married when I was fat.

I have only gained only in the past few months. The question I am still asking myself even as I look for solution to my body weight is, will I still be his favorite woman when I lose weight and transform to a completely different body? Please advise.

First things first, according to you, do you think you are overweight?

If you feel comfortable with your body size and weight, then your dear husband will have to get used to it and love you like that.

However, if you also think you are overweight, and you don't feel comfortable in your current state, then it will be important to lose some weight as this will make your husband love you even more.

When your husband asks you to put on leggings, maybe he is not satisfied with your body size and would rather see it covered.

I think you should ask yourself what you want first before thinking about your husband.

If you want to please your husband, go ahead and ask him if he will be pleased to have you cut of your extra weight.

Otherwise, I would rather advise you to stay as you are, but first what do you think about yourself?

I must say your response puts me to a challenge. Now, I have to choose between what I want and what my husband wants.

I think I just need a little more time to think about myself and make a sound decision. I must admit I thought so fast without reflecting on my personal feeling.

Thanks for your reply.

Look Abby12, it is important for your so called hubby to understand that with the way you are, you have given him a beautiful daughter he can send to tell you things like putting on your leggings.

But it sounds awful he sends your daughter to tell that to you! I am out of words to describe your husband.

For me I met with my husband at 26 years of age, I am now 32, I had an accident a year ago, but he cuddles me still like a baby, he loves me and stays by my side in whatever issue that comes.

I think if your husband is that shallow then, it's very horrible!

We must take caution how we talk and avoid jumping to conclusions about the motives of Abby12.

I have seen many men who get worry about their wives' weight because of health reasons but not with the intention of upsetting them.

If your husband or family wants you to cut off some extra weight, they will talk to you openly and hear what you have to say.

But then you need to be sober enough to speak your mind and what you want. It's a good thing to just fault the husband here without knowing his intentions.

I am so grateful for such honest opinions and advises. I am glad you are open with me and speak to me honestly from your hearts.

Now, I am thinking about speaking to my husband about this issue, you have opened my eyes.
